was born in Dublin, Ireland, on July 8, 1980. He began his professional career with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1997 at the age of 17. Keane quickly established himself as a prolific goalscorer, earning a move to Coventry City in 1999.

Keane’s breakthrough season came in 2000-01 when he scored 22 goals for Coventry City, earning him a transfer to Inter Milan. However, his time in Italy was short-lived, and he returned to England in 2002 to join Tottenham Hotspur.
